Deir El-Ballas Excavation
The forward capital for the Theban kings during the Hyksos expulsion, Deir el-Ballas is of tremendous archaeological and historical importance, but at extreme risk from looting and uncontrolled expansion of the neighboring town.
Oral History of American Egyptology
A project documenting the history of American Egyptology through video-recorded oral histories with prominent scholars in the field.

Tomb of Thutmose IV (KV43) Research
With its decoration, graffiti, and remaining artifacts, the Tomb of Thutmose IV (KV43) provides a unique opportunity to re-evaluate previous excavation in the Valley of the Kings.
Despite its long neglect, Deir el-Ballas is a particularly important resource for information on the development of urbanism and the state in ancient Egypt at one of the most pivotal points in its history.
